Almost all people from all walks of life have already known about a disease that can cause dementia, a brain disorder that interferes with a person's ability to do the things he do everyday. It mainly affects the part of the brain that control the intellectual functions like memory, language and thought. Most of the people that are affected by Alzheimer Disease are those that are 60 years old and even beyond that. That is why, you don't have to be surprised that you find your grandpa one day sitting at a police station waiting to be picked up by someone who knows him because he can't remember where he lives anymore.

I have this personal experience with my own mother. We were all in the office and the kids are at school. She was left alone with another relative. Without her knowing, my mother left the house unnoticed and before we knew it, a policeman called us up late afternoon on that day and told us where she was. It's a good thing we put some kind of identity card in her pocket just in case things like this can happen or while we were still looking for some Alzheimer disease cure.

Yes, people who are 60 years old and older are the most likely victims of Alzheimer's disease but there are reports that 30-year-old or above males can also have Alzheimer's Disease and surprisingly, there was a medical report that football players in this age bracket are prone to it. I just wonder why...
